Cannabis Culture South Africa is here to stay. For the greater good of being Conscious of nature. Mother Earth’s glorious creation of Cannabis. Call it Canna, Pot, Dagga, Dope, Weed, Marijuana or Ganja. It’s a plant with endless potential for healing. Connecting and even creating. God’s gift to man. I’m Just a product of nature that falls under the subculture of Cannabis. We are the lovers, the peacekeepers, and the ordinary working class. You see the thing is this. People from different backgrounds have been brought together through Cannabis. United as one subculture.
It’s beautiful to see such diversity seep through in one moment. On this momentous day, Saturday the 5th of May. Cannabis Works 2018 took place outside Parliament in Cape Town CBD. It highlighted the potential of a subculture that’s been waiting for liberation for years. Acceptance and just a basic acknowledgement that it is OK to smoke weed. Social Evolution has rolled together something tight-knit in South Africa. A Cannabis Conscious subculture. The truth is people are ready to speak the truth about Cannabis Use.
The vibrancy sparkles in the shimmering eyes of this subculture. It’s at #CannabisWorks2018. It’s a smoke safe zone. Everyone is blazing. The smoke lingers in the air of this green movement. Waiting to be liberated. Unlabelled and just blow free.
Cannabis Culture South Africa is a magical movement. It is something that binds people together as one. You see it’s easy to scout out your tribe wherever you are. We stand together. In this ever-evolving world, we exist and we are waiting for approval.
The experience of the ‘elders’ in the Rastafarian community echoed through the Mountains. There was a disturbance from some ‘outsider’ messing with the sound and disturbing the peace and the speeches from the Rastas. The sound of the prayers created this amazing vibration which swept through and lingered in the smokey crowd. Through all the commotion the vibration stayed strong. The sound echoed through and resonated with many in the crowd.
The best part about Cannabis Culture in South Africa is that it’s actually being made possible thanks to The Dagga Party of South Africa. Need I say more?
Smokey Jo from Bongalong pumping up the crowd with his inspiring story and relationship with Cannabis. Thank you Bongalong, The Dagga Party of South Africa and all the magical Cannabis Connosieurs for making Cannabis Works 2018 possible.
